New Song Toxic Masculinity - Brandon Anderson

Brandon Anderson is back with his song toxic masculinity a song about fitting men into a box, a box that you don’t fit into it you are judged and looked down upon. The song will have you wondering about the core message of the song, is it about judgement from white straight men, or is this a song about how white masculine men get to run the world while judging others and tearing a country to pieces. The video has imagery of guns and white working class men doing the robot.

As I read the lyrics line by line I can see the artists pain, he is sick of seeing guns sold in America and landing in the hands of white men. White men who think that it’s their constitutional right to bare arms.

You can tell this song is about the US capital riots, which saw thousands of white men and woman storm the national capital and make senators run for safety. We saw policeman be killed that day and the artist is wondering why do we protect these people. He says in the song “We never let them fail, but if we do, we’ll post the bail.” A call that speaks so clear to the fact that many of the people that stormed the capital building where granted bail by local state based judges only to have them over-turned by federal judges.

Take a look at the video and let us know what you think.
