Glenn Underground Guest Host
Published:

Your weekly dose of red-hot rhythms has arrived, and this week its courtesy of a true veteran – Glenn Underground

Raised on disco classics and freeform jazz in Chicago's Southside, Glenn’s enriched heritage is deeply rooted in each iconic project he’s crafted during his extensive career. Words like jazzy, steamy and soulful spring to mind when listening to his music, and so far it has landed on Z Records, BBE, Peppermint Jam, Local Talk and of course his own imprint Strictly Jaz Unit Muzic.

Strictly Jaz Unit Muzic has been firing all cylinders since the New Year, with two exceptional releases already under its belt. The first being from the man himself with ‘Travel’, a Soulful gem equipped with a stripped and smooth B-Side dub. The second release ‘I Remember’ comes from rising star Jerome O. who pays homage to the sound and artists that paved the way for House Music, in form of a thick groove and schooling vocal.

For Traxsource LIVE! Glenn joins the dots between the old and the new, the classic and the unknown, expect the sounds of Robert Owens, Anthony Nicholson, DJ Spinna, Manoo and more for a non-stop hour of raw and soulful music. So full of flavor you can almost taste the sweet Chicago air.

#321 w/Alan Dixon
Published:

For the 321st installment of the Traxsource LIVE! series we present the sounds and ideas of UK-based Alan Dixon, master of fresh and vibey Nu Disco energies.

Slowly but surely blossoming into an integral part of the underground scene, Alan’s consistent output is bolstered by quality release after quality release, quickly catching the attention of labels Glitterbox, Defected, Running Back, Future Disco Midnight Riot & more!

His latest artistic expression comes in the form of ‘Night Time Melodies’, an ethereal creation just released via Love Attack Records, emanating kinetic percussion and low-end bass weight throughout each considered track. Each sound playing it's respective part to form a well-thought-out solid EP.

To accompany a selection of cuts from the new EP, Alan blends Nacho Marco, HiFi Sean, Roman Flügel and more in a 60-minute stream of air-tight mixing. Pulling you forward, backward, up, down whilst bending space and time in the process. Once finished you’ll be left with a hunger for more and luckily Alan oozes creative output, so there’s plenty to explore.
