This week on The Sports Wrap, things are looking a little different — and by different, we mean slightly unhinged. With Dukie off on a 7-week fishing holiday (because someone has to justify the cost of those overpriced reels), Simmo, Dangerous Dan, and Fred Flintstone have taken the wheel… and nobody’s quite sure where they’re heading.
Simmo is still holding down the fort with another strong Simon Says, tackling all the big talking points in sport and dishing out his usual mix of insight, sarcasm, and simmering frustration. Around the Grounds returns to give you the latest updates from all codes, all over the place.
And while Dukie’s away, someone had to take over Crunching Numbers — so who better than Dangerous Dan? Sure, he might need a little help telling a stat from a sandwich, but he’s bringing his own flair (and maybe a few dodgy spreadsheets) to the role.
Fred Flintstone has been added to the line-up for one reason and one reason only: looks. He’s not bringing analysis, he’s not reading box scores — but he sure balances out the visual horror of Simmo and Dan behind a microphone.
Expect laughs, left-field takes, and the kind of sporting banter that only happens when the adult supervision (Dukie) is gone. It’s The Sports Wrap — a little wilder, a little weirder, and absolutely unmissable.
Holy Hat! Another episode in the books after another big week in the world of sport. The Aussie Men's Cricket team are in strife after getting beaten by Afghanistan and are in a must win situation against India if they want to take out the T20 World Cup. Port Adelaide produced an unforgivable performance against Brisbane much like Geelong on Friday night as the byes are officially over. In a week of unpredictability in the NRL we look towards some more potential upsets ahead of Round 17 and Game 2 of the State of Origin while the first NBA trade has taken place only days after the Celtics championship win.
Get ready, because Leesy, Simmo, and Dukie are back with another unforgettable episode that’s packed with everything a true sports fan craves. This week, the lads leave no stone unturned!
Simmo kicks things off with his signature round-up of EPL and NFL action, delivering his unique blend of analysis and humor that you won’t find anywhere else. Alongside his game insights, he slips in some of his legendary "Simmo Life Hacks" (pro tip: "don’t shit yourself in the shower") and serves up a fresh edition of "What Boils My Piss," where he rants about the week’s most annoying sports moments. It’s classic Simmo: raw, real, and hilariously honest.
Not to be outdone, Dukie jumps in with a thorough dive into the 2008 draft, breaking down the picks, strategies, and missed opportunities that shaped teams and careers. Whether you’re a hardcore draft fan or just looking to learn a bit more, Dukie’s analysis will have you hooked.
Leesy brings the thrill of MotoGP to the table, covering recent races, upcoming matchups, and the latest buzz from the track. His enthusiasm and insights capture the spirit of motorsport like nobody else, and he brings even more sports surprises to round out the discussion.
As if that’s not enough, the boys welcome a special guest: WA Cricket’s own Bowling Coach, Tim McDonald. Tim joins them over the phone for a deep dive into WA cricket, sharing insider stories, insights into coaching at the state level, and a preview of what fans can expect this season.
In short, this is one Sports Wrap you won’t want to miss. The boys bring the banter, the analysis, and the laugh, it's the ultimate episode for any sports fan.
