After all, the centre has just seen a $800 Million redevelopment that should make it the place to be over this jolly season.The new centre brings with it a Western Australia first Lego shop for all the lego fans, as well as an outside dining area and a freshly new Hoyts and Holy Moly for all your holes in one. You can see that the owner of Karrinyup has tried to make this centre feel expensive with the low lighting the light colors but and there is a big but it feels unfinished, which the team at Karrinyup information booth said &ldquo;We had one place just under hoyts decide to pull out and that is why that section is unfinished.&rdquo; and I guess I would not be writing this article if it was just one place that felt unfinished.I heard staff from retail outlets who asked to stay anonymous say &ldquo;The aircon does not work, we have had people out to fix it, but it still does not work&rdquo;. It was not only an issue inside shops but as a centre itself it felt like the glass roof was heating everything up inside, it really made an uncomfortable atmosphere and one that really needed the AC turned up.That was not the only issue as we walked around the centre looking for food and shops to spend some money at, I was left with the need not to shop. In fact I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible.Now just to give you all some insight it was not busy we arrived at 10am and was there for roughly 2 hours. However the centre is missing something. It's like the WOW factor was missing, as we parked in B2 car park and went up the escalator I said to Jason &ldquo;They are missing a massive screen here&rdquo; it would be the perfect place to advertise what&rsquo;s happening in the shopping centre or to just welcome people.Not to mention that where we parked the car there was no clear signage saying how to enter the shopping centre - clearly we found it but for a short period we were walking the wrong way.In another store we spoke to a staff member who said &ldquo;Yeah we can hear the other store's music, they play it so loud.&rdquo; Which tells me that centre management is not caring about the shopping experience of the customers from store to store.Now the low lighting and every shop having that bright neon look felt very industrial. It was like the centre has told them look, we have a new centre and we want it to have this look and feel.As for the outside dining area it&rsquo;s neat and tidy, but not really screaming the wow factor. Let's face it, it&rsquo;s no Carousel Shopping Centre and I think that is the problem. Karrinyup has tried to copy Carousel because that works and they have just missed the mark. If it was not for the Lego shop there would be no need to go to Karrinyup Shopping Center.

A true legend of Formula 1 Has sadly passed away. Sir Frank Williams was a businessman, race car driver and Formula 1 Founder/team owner of the Williams Formula 1 racing team between 1977 to 2020. The Williams Formula 1 Racing Team won 9 constructors championships and 7 drivers championships whilst Sir Frank Williams was leading the team.The team's first win came at the 1979 British Formula 1 Grand Prix with driver Clay Regazzoni in the Cosworth Powered FW07. Their first constructors and drivers title came in 1980 with Australian Formula 1 Champion and Australian Touring Car Legend Alan Jones.The Williams Formula 1 Team won another 6 drivers titles with drivers such Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve plus a further 8 constructors championships between 1981 and 1997.The saddest event that stands out over his amazing careers was the death of Ayrton Senna in 1994 in the FW16 at Imola, Sir Frank Williams was charged with manslaughter in Italy, but was later acquitted several years after the tragic event.In 2012 Sir Frank Williams announced he would be stepping down from the board of Williams F1 and would be replaced by his daughter Claire Williams, but would continue in the role of team principal. Tim Paine, captain of Australia&rsquo;s cricket team, has resigned as captain of the team after his involvement in a sex scandal.
Tim Paine is one of the great Australian cricketers of this generation, however his inappropriate off-field antics have cost him the top player position on Australia&rsquo;s cricket team.
Pain was involved in a text exchange with a Female employee of Cricket Tasmania in late 2017.
The bombshell news comes just 2 weeks before the beginning of the ashes.

Police have arrested a 13-year-old and 14-year-old in connection to an attempted murder incident that was carried out at Willetton Senior High School.Police say the two adolescent female students had planned the attack for two weeks over the popular chat app Discord. The 14-year-old, who is unknown at this time, brought the 25-cm thick kitchen knife from her home to carry out the attack.The 14-year-old gave the younger assailant the knife to hide in her bag at the start of school to prevent the older student from being caught with it before she was able to carry out the attack.At around 11 am that morning, the younger student gave the attacker the blade, and the 14-year-old child proceeded to go into a meeting she had with her Year Coordinator, who also happened to be the person she was planning to attack.As the meeting finished and the victim turned to leave, that is when the female student turned attempted murder decided to carry out her vicious and calculated attack on the teacher.She inflicted a 1cm deep in the teacher&rsquo;s left armpit area. Police have recovered evidence through messages that the teen student researched where the best place to stab someone would be.Through this research, she decided to either stab the teacher in the neck or in the armpit, the main goal being to sever an artery. Reports state that the teacher is in stable condition and will recover.Police also recovered messages attaining a plan to burn down the school, with the 14-year-old allegedly doing "a large amount of research" about what gas to use and how long it would take to fill a room and catch fire.After the attack, the attacker fled the school but was caught hours later by police. The 13-year-old went to her next class and did not mention a word. She was later interviewed by Police, and the 13-year-old admitted to carrying the knife for the attacker and knowing that the attack was going to happen.Police have stated that the 14-year-old was the &lsquo;driving force&rsquo; behind the attack. The 13-year-old was released on bail, while the 14-year-old is being held in a children&rsquo;s hospital due to mental health concerns.Update Nov 4th: Update By DRN1Students have told DRN1.com.au that they where locked inside their classrooms and was instructed to get to the right side of the room, and away from all windows.Students tell of teachers acting calm and professional, while some students reported that they felt confused about what was happening when this situation unfolded.Students where told that they maybe held in their classroom for session 3 and 4, while police and emergancy secured the area, however students only where locked in for session 3, and they resumed class as normal for session 4.

It also works the other way, as Australians wanting to travel out of Australia will be able to if they are fully vaccinated, but there is no promise of getting back in, and this will only happen once we reach Phase C of the four-stage plan. Phase C is described as the time period where 80% of the country is fully vaccinated. It is a town in the middle of the outback, who could they possibly need to spy on with face-scanning CCTV equipment?Experts have warned that Western Australia&rsquo;s medical infrastructure will not be able to handle a delta-variant COVID-19 outbreak, now ask yourself for a second, why in the world would the Western Australian government want to be putting millions of dollars into security equipment in the DESERT when we should be putting millions of dollars into medical infrastructure, incase some-day we happen to have an outbreak of our own, just like the eastern states.Kalgoorlie does have a quite daunting criminal history, and it still does with reports of Bikie gang activity in the town but Kalgoorlie already has CCTV equipment all over the town and the McGowan government has announced that they will deploy 5 specialist police officers into the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region along with the 950 additional police officers they are deploying in the town. So why are we putting so much money and manpower in a desolate desert town with some small-time thugs when we have a massive COVID Outbreak on the other side of the country, why are we not preparing for this?Not only are we wasting money on desert towns, but we are also wasting a total of $52 million dollars on &lsquo;road safety&rsquo; upgrades on the Coolgardie Esperance highway, which is a 350km road network that connects Esperance to Coolgardie, near Kalgoorlie, and we are throwing away another $20.4 million for sealing of shoulders and installation of audible edge lines on Great Eastern Highway, Goldfields Highway, and Coolgardie-Esperance Highway.The WA government is concerned about a COVID-19 outbreak that we would not be able to handle, yet we are wasting $74 million dollars on roads that barely anyone uses and CCTV and police manpower on a desert town that doesn&rsquo;t even need it because it already has CCTV and a police presence. Kalgoorlie&rsquo;s crime rate is higher than WA&rsquo;s average but does that really warrant $1 million dollars into military-grade CCTV equipment and 955 additional police officers in the region? We as taxpayers are standing by and letting this happen when what we need to do is stand up for what is right and tell the McGowan government to put more money into medical infrastructure during a global pandemic instead of putting it towards desert road upgrades and military-grade CCTV equipment in a nearly desolate town that really doesn&rsquo;t even need it.

The world is not what it once was, over the past 2 years the world has endured a global pandemic while our politicians have botched everything up from, supporting the homeless, supporting frontline workers and supporting the people who lost their jobs. This pandemic has taken families and split them up, made state borders feel like separate countries and made millions of Australians anxious about what the future holds for them. No matter where you looked we saw families losing their life savings, people losing their jobs, businesses failing due to state and federal government mistakes and mismanagement. An industry that employs over 240,000 locals in a matter of hours had no job, no form of income and was told to go home and stay home.
The lockdowns in NSW and Victoria have shown us how important it is to check in on each other, support each other and make sure that we come together as one. Unfortunately, covid lockdowns only seem to separate and harm that check-in process with domestic violence on the rise in some parts of Australia.
Hayley Foster, chief executive of Women&rsquo;s Safety, New South Wales, has worked in domestic violence support for 15 years and she has been shocked by what she&rsquo;s witnessed in 2020.
&ldquo;2020 will be remembered as the worst year for domestic violence that any of us who are in the sector now have ever experienced,&rdquo; says Foster.
Foster told theguardian.com one of her clients would have a respite from her abusive husband during work hours but he has lost work during the pandemic and is now home all the time.
Financial pressures trigger him &ldquo;into a rage at minor things (like a) child leaving a light on when leaving a room,&rdquo; she says. Her client is scared and the man is drinking steadily, limiting his wife&rsquo;s access to finances and monitoring her phone.
This is just one case out of many that have been reported, and we know that not everyone can speak up and get help where domestic violence is concerned, and it does not just affect women a recent study showed that 1 in 6 men have experienced emotional abuse from a current or ex-partner, while 1 in 16 men have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from a current or ex-partner.
But we digress. This article aims to make sure that we acknowledge the pitfalls that we are in and to pick up the phone and talk to someone before a hand is raised, a bottle is thrown, or an attempt to take your own life is considered.
In a time that has us all shoving the blame game and saying our leaders are not doing enough to fight the pandemic, our leaders are not showing true leadership and our leaders can go home every night knowing that their pay packet is guaranteed.
While thousands of Australians are left wondering where their next meal will come from, how will they pay the power bill, how will they afford the rent or mortgage, how will they afford to fill up the car. We need to pause and ask are you ok?

Let me start by saying that I have been a massive fan of Premier Mark McGowan up until now.Being a resident in Perth is something that I love, but having all my family in Victoria has been tough during these Covid times that we live in. I like most people who have family over east are struggling with these ridiculously tough border closures that we are having to endure and to find out today that I will not be able to spend Christmas with my family this year is a step too far.&nbsp;I am all for keeping WA safe from Covid and love the privilege of being able to live so free, (which should never be a privilege it should be our right). I believe this so much that I have been double vaccinated so I can keep myself safe but more importantly keep others safe.Now I am not saying that I should be able to avoid hotel quarantine when I get back from seeing my family, I&rsquo;m saying that I should be able to at least go see my family because I have taken every precaution to protect myself and others against Covid19. On top of that all my family live in regional Victoria which is expected to have an ease of restrictions as of the 12th of september, which would mean I would be in any high risk locations. As I said, I am more than willing to go into hotel quarantine when I get back, as I am sure many others would be if they were fully vaccinated.I really do believe that 80% vaccination should be the target we need to hit before we can travel freely but for the people who have been fully vaccinated now should be able to enjoy eased restrictions because they went out and did the right thing by being vaccinated.As a government, you cannot expect people to do the right thing without offering something in return for being fully vaccinated and people question whether they have done the right thing by being vaccinated if they are treated as if they haven&rsquo;t.I believe that we have entered a very dangerous place now and I believe that the consequences from the government having this type of control over people could last for many years to come and could be even more damaging to people's rights moving forward.

At Least 44 Dead in North East US

There have been reports of multiple people being stabbed in a New Lynn supermarket in West Auckland, New Zealand this afternoon. The suspect was located and shot by armed police. Police say the culprit died at the scene after he injured six people, three of whom are in critical condition in hospital.In a video uploaded to social media, people can be heard warning one another about &lsquo;someone with a knife&rsquo; in the shopping centre. The scene is described as frantic with numerous people running out of the shopping centre trying to escape the crazed lunatic with their lives.&nbsp;New Zealand Prime minister Jacinda Ardren has condemned the attack committed by the man, saying it was a &ldquo;terrorist attack by a violent extremist&rdquo; who was known by authorities. The prime minister continued; &ldquo;What happened today was despicable. It was hateful, it was wrong. It was carried out by an individual, not a faith, not a culture, not an ethnicity but an individual person who is gripped by ideology that is not supported here by anyone in the community&rdquo;At least one person suffered a stab wound, while there are reports that two people have been shot. One witness, a man named Tim, told reporters that he saw an elderly man lying on the ground with a stab wound to his abdomen, and a middle aged woman suffered a stab wound to her shoulder. This very detailed information that was being shared is unknown by a lot of people in Perth.These have information on who to call (Main Roads:138 138) and what to do i.e. Stay in your car with your seatbelt on, wait for emergency crews to arrive so they tow you to a safe location. We have posted this information on the DRN1 facebook page.I find it disgusting that Tuesday afternoon was the first time I had seen a post with this valuable information on the Main Roads Facebook page. It is now 1pm on Wednesday afternoon and I am only now seeing it on news Facebook Pages. The tragic accident happened on Sunday morning.I was speaking with a friend on Tuesday who&rsquo;s brother is a driving instructor and not even he knew about this vital information. I have read the driver handbook at the time I was transferring my licence from Victoria and I don&rsquo;t remember seeing this information written in the pre-school like driver handbook.How is it that our inexperienced young drivers are not taught this whilst learning to drive? How is it that drivers who have been driving for years do not know this information exists? A young boy is in hospital today fighting for his life after being hit by a four-wheel drive traveling on Bindi Bindi-Toodyay road, near the intersection of Coondle Drive, about 11.20am on Monday.The 10 year old boy was riding his bike along the road when the four wheel drive struck the boy.A Rescue helicopter flew to the nearby Toodyay Oval and medically evacuated the injured child to the Perth Children&rsquo;s Hospital.The driver of the four wheel drive is assisting police in their investigation.

Thankfully both women were ok.Hearing these stories on a weekly basis is a joke. Laws are not enough to protect women and they certainly don&rsquo;t go far enough to put these lowlives in prison and away from harming the women laws should be there to protect.Men have no right to think they own, control, can emotionally or physically harm a woman in any way.&nbsp;Breaking a woman down to the point where she feels worthless, hopeless, not worthy of being a woman is as weak as a man can be.&nbsp;Breaking a woman down to the point where she is scared to wake up in the morning, fears conversation, can&rsquo;t talk to their friends, has no life outside of an abusive relationship, fears for her life if she speaks out makes you so much less of a man than anything else.Real men know unconditional love for their family, provide for and protect their family, share a 50/50 partnership and most importantly never lay their hands on any member of their family.Real men know how to call domestic violence out when they see it or hear of it. Real men won&rsquo;t stand for the rights and protection of all women being taken away from them.The reason I write this is because beautiful strong women are why I am here. Both my grandmothers, my aunties, my sister, my nieces and the most beautiful women of them all who brought me into this world, my Mum.&nbsp;Without these women I would not be in the position to call domestic violence out through my role in the media and I will always stand by all women because of the beautiful strong women in my life.

With one person going by the online name of Robert Wills said &ldquo;What about all those wallets are stolen each week, just because you have an ID does not mean that they are who they claim they are.&rdquo; While on the other side victims of online bullying and trolling have called the move a step in the right direction by holding people accountable for their social media posts and messages.

Grindr users beware, “Armadale Detectives are investigating two serious assaults that are linked to the use of an online  messaging application. Both victims, a man in his 40s and a man in his 50s, communicated with someone via the same messaging application and arranged to meet at an address in Gosnells,” Western Australia Police Force’s Media unit said in a statement.

The brutality of the Australian military in Afghanistan is an extreme manifestation of this hostility.In fact, Arabs like me in Australia are often discriminated against simply because of our race, which makes our lives very inconvenient and even disappointing, and some have already left the country. I once read a thought-provoking report. Although Australia is a land of opportunity, it is not suitable for Muslims and Arabs, read the headline. The report focuses on how a Doctor from the Arab world was repeatedly turned down for a job in Australia because of his Muslim status. Disheartened, the Doctor left Australia silently. It also notes that many Australian companies are ruthless in rejecting job applicants whose names are Mohammed or Abdullah. I often read in the media about many public places in Australia where Muslim or Arab people, such as subway stations and restaurants, are openly discriminated against by other ethnic groups, and even verbally and physically abused.Living in Australia, I have some knowledge of the country&rsquo;s legal system and, like most Western countries, it is not only immoral but illegal to screen job applicants based on their race. In Australia, however, such behaviour seems to have become the default setting. As one of the largest immigrant nations in the world, Australia has always preached its inclusiveness, its freedom, and its democracy, while we were concerned about the attitude of Australian society toward us. However, what happens to US Muslims and Arabs in Australia speaks volumes about the fact that what the Australian government, and even the people of other races, their commitment is only superficial or a means of self-consolation.In fact, we Muslims and people from the Arab world love peace and freedom. Our religious beliefs and value systems should not be equated with a few extremist groups and radicals and terrorism. The misunderstanding of us is a mistake made by many Western countries. However, the cost of such mistakes is borne by people who love life. I believe that when we build a truly understanding and inclusive society, there will be no more hatred and killing; people of different faiths and values can truly live, grow and find our own position in the land of Australia.

Brandon Anderson is back with his song toxic masculinity a song about fitting men into a box, a box that you don&rsquo;t fit into it you are judged and looked down upon. The song will have you wondering about the core message of the song, is it about judgement from white straight men, or is this a song about how white masculine men get to run the world while judging others and tearing a country to pieces. The video has imagery of guns and white working class men doing the robot.As I read the lyrics line by line I can see the artists pain, he is sick of seeing guns sold in America and landing in the hands of white men. White men who think that it&rsquo;s their constitutional right to bare arms.You can tell this song is about the US capital riots, which saw thousands of white men and woman storm the national capital and make senators run for safety. We saw policeman be killed that day and the artist is wondering why do we protect these people. Voice actor Harry Shearer has voiced over 100 voices for the hit TV show The Simpson&rsquo;s dating back to when he joined the cartoon family back in 1989. Reports swirling around the web this afternoon are saying that part of Disney&rsquo;s reshuffle and purchase of the Fox brand, the mouse has decided that only black people can voice black characters.Harry Shearer came out in an interview a few years ago and said &ldquo;Every time an actor plays a, actor male or female plays a part they're playing somebody that they are not.&rdquo; He went on to say &ldquo;So if you apply that rule strictly um, where really out of a job&rdquo;.Disney made the decision after the show said white actors would no longer provide the voices of non-white characters, following particular criticism of Hank Azaria's voiceover of Apu.Harry Shearer who has also voiced Mr Burns, Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner will no longer be allowed to voice Dr Hibbert, with that role now going to Kevin Michael Richardson. While all reports are saying that Mr Shearer&rsquo;s will stay to continue lending his voice to Mr Burns, Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner, it&rsquo;s only a matter of time before he is shown the door completely.Disney has been in the firing line lately with a number of politically correctness issues with the company having to give warnings before some of the companies biggest cartoons such as Dumbo, Peter Pan and Jungle Book all getting a new warning stating &ldquo;This programme includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures, These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now.&rdquo;Other Disney films to receive a new warning include The Aristocats, which has a cat in &ldquo;yellow-face&rdquo; playing a piano with chopsticks. Lady and the Tramp, which has several instances of racism and cultural stereotyping, also carries a warning.Simpson fans have hit out on social media saying how disgraceful this is, with some saying that this is racist, as it&rsquo;s a cartoon. While on Sky News Liz Storer said &ldquo;What an utterly ridiculous move by the work brigade.&rdquo; She went on to say &ldquo;That literally firing a white guy who&rsquo;s voiced this character for over 30 years. Fox fired him for being white let&rsquo;s face it that&rsquo;s why he no longer has this role and it bears mentioning again speaking to the irony bart Simpson&rsquo;s character is voiced by a woman but of course it doesn&rsquo;t matter because&hellip; Bart&rsquo;s character is a white male.&rdquo; Liz Storer continued to say &ldquo;As long as it&rsquo;s only white males being fired white males being voiced by a woman it really doesn&rsquo;t matter.&rdquo; This has many people concerned that Hollywood has gone a little crazy with Liz Storer saying &ldquo;Hollywood is turning itself inside out at the moment that was literally announced this guy being stepped down from that role was announced the day after they came out announcing that a black actress Jody I forget her last name will be playing in Anne Boleyn in a miniseries coming up. Now you and I both know that Anne Boleyn was very white, she was very English.&rdquo; Storer continued to say &ldquo;It doesn&rsquo;t matter as long as it&rsquo;s white people being de-platformed it&rsquo;s perfectly fine."

In a special sit down with Ivan Leung from WAMN News, Ivan told DRN1 how Facebook had made his news channel a stable in Western Australia with over 20,000 followers tuning into his news headlines, press conferences and live streams.&ldquo;We give our viewers live and raw information.&rdquo; Mr Leung said, he went on to say &ldquo;Television is monolog&hellip; The web and Facebook is a very interesting thing.&rdquo; When talking about Facebook Mr Leung said &ldquo;The success formula last year, when we were starting through the pandemic&hellip; When other journos I know were working from home, they do rely on our service.&rdquo; Facebook played a huge roll for media companies just like WAMN News. Being able to bring breaking news to thousands of people at once, which allowed Facebook users to get the latest news without leaving the platform. &ldquo;During the bushfires&hellip; We had to extend our news&nbsp; service to half hour.&rdquo; Mr Leung said.&nbsp;While Facebook covered the cost to deliver it to the end user allowing media companies to keep cost low and only need to pay for the original broadcast to Facebook media servers a cost that Facebook did not charge them but rather their internet provider.While it&rsquo;s now been two days without Australian or international news content on Facebook, users have become creative with screenshots of news articles, posting links on twitter which then they share to Facebook. Australian&rsquo;s woke up to a very different style of the social media platform Facebook today. With news and media companies having their Facebook page removed. In a statement released on <a href="http://facebook.com">facebook.com</a> the company said &ldquo;The proposed law fundamentally misunderstands the relationship between our platform and publishers who use it to share news content.&rdquo; Facebook went on to say &ldquo;News makes up less than 4% of the content people see in their News Feed.&rdquo;Questions now on what classifies as news is being called into question with some government pages as well as Facebook&rsquo;s own page being banned here in Australia. Pages for DFES, SA Health, Victoria Health pages and others no longer being able to be accessed on Facebook. While pages like 10 News Perth somehow did not get struct by the Facebook delete hammer. Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley said the removal of some government health pages was a "big issue of concern"."Anything that removes credible and reliable information sources in the midst of a global pandemic is beyond regrettable and needs to be fixed," he said.In Western Australia political personalities seem to also be classified as news/media with the opposition leader Zak Kirkup receiving the same treatment as news organisations and being removed from the platform. It is unclear at this stage if Zak Kirkup is upset about his Facebook being classified as news.While media companies are all kicking and screaming and telling Australian&rsquo;s that we are unhappy and angry that Facebook has removed news media companies from a platform that is a private company that you as a person and/or business have to sign up to use. The question I ask is are we? Like really do you want your news feed full of crappy news?People connected to me in Facebook are saying how they love the fact news media is not allowed in Facebook. After all should we get our news from a social media site?At the end of the day, either Facebook will unblock these pages or risk the Australian government forcefully banning the service from Australia. So to the people who think Facebook is being a bully by blocking media companies just watch our government and media companies as they have been trying and in some cases succeeding (Google V Media) bullying large successful companies when their media/news companies have been on a downward spiral for some time now.

WA Police and the state of Western Australia is offering a reward of up to 1 million dollars for information that leads to the capture of the shooter from last Saturday night's shooting at Perth Motorplex.
&ldquo;Our government stands with the police to bring the person responsible for this crime to justice.&rdquo; Michelle Roberts (WA Police minister) said. &ldquo;Today our government is announcing a reward of up to 1 million dollars for information about that killing on the weekend. It is an unprecedented reward for a crime of this nature.&rdquo;
The reward is likely to come from the recent 30 million dollars seized by WA Police. &ldquo;That money could be the money used to pay this reward.&rdquo; Michelle Roberts (WA Police minister) said.&nbsp;
&ldquo;This was a credible disturbing incident&rdquo; Brad Royce said. A reward of up to $1 million dollars is on the table &ldquo;We want them behind bars.&rdquo; Police minister said &ldquo;and rather than delay... The reward our best opportunity is to offer that opportunity first up.&rdquo;
Concerns over just who can claim the reward was also said by the WA Minister of Police &ldquo;There maybe some prospect of some immunity from prosecution providing that the person that comes forward isn&rsquo;t the actual main perpetrator.&rdquo; she went on to say &ldquo;This is a crime that can not go unpunished. The offender needs to be brought to justice.&rdquo;
The reward which has WA tax payers worried has &ldquo;The premier and the government's support.&rdquo; Michelle Roberts&nbsp; (WA Police minister) said.

Basil Zempalis, also recently known as The Lord Mayor of Perth announced live on his 6PR breakfast radio show ‘if you have a penis, you are a man’ Upsetting a large portion of the Perth community, specialising in members of the LGBTQ+ family. The news comes shortly after the announcement of the first ever LGBTQ+ boxing tournament rumoured to be hosted in Sydney in 2023. However, this isn’t the first time the Lord Mayor himself has come out and offended a large portion of his state and country - just a month ago, he also announced that he would ‘forcibly remove’ homeless people from the streets of the CBD. Only weeks after getting inducted as the Lord Mayor of Perth, Zempalis is now not only under fire from every angle for his bigotry comments made on the morning show, but also for then offering a $100 retrovision voucher to any Transgender radio listener to share their thoughts - so not only did he offend a large portion of the 6PR’s listeners he then also chose to take it a step further by patronising them for a quick cash fix. Transfolk Chairman Hunter Gurevich weighed into this situation by stating he has no intention of accepting any apologise from the Lord Mayor himself until the Breakfast show host ‘confronts the damage his comments can and have done’ 6PR have announced, that while he was contracted to their station during the broadcast, the company have also decided to begin distancing themselves from Zempalis and announcing also that their employees are are regularly trained to ensure community standards and expectations are met at all times. Since the show, Basil Zempalis has spoken to well known Perth LGBTQ+ news site stating ‘if anyone was offended that was not our intention’ The statistics of the Transgender deaths this year is more than 30, ranking the largest this year the deadliest one their community has seen.So now it begs the question - What can broadcasting companies further put in place to ensure their hosts know the guidelines and community expectations that are needed to be met during a live show?

The lyrics which have me asking is this song about a long lost lover or something more deep. Paulina Caine said “It’s about losing someone who was your whole world. Whether you believe in climate change or not, there is no doubt that this years fire season is bigger and more fierce than others before. While PM Scott Morrison was living the life in sipping cocktails in Hawaii, parts of Australia was alight with fires in NSW, VIC, WA and other states. While NSW has most likely been hit the hardest this year and many are saying it is because of state laws that don’t allow back burning due to greenies and tree huggers. We have a PM that instead of taking action which he as PM of our country can do and set federal laws he has been sitting back drinking cocktails thinking that he deserves a foreign holiday. While some people believe he has earnt the break, you need to ask yourself if your house was on fire would you come back from your holiday? I think most of us would be back ASAP. But our PM who has the Australian Airforce at his beck and call decided not to board the PM aircraft when the fires started being out of control but also waited 2 days until shit hit the fan after 2 volunteer firefighters died on Friday when they were crushed by a falling tree. The PM Scott Morrison has been heard saying these fires are a state issue and not a federal one. But maybe he should take a look at our former PM Tony Abbott he has been volunteering to help fight these fires. While PM Scott Morrison has been caught saying “I don’t hold the hose”. You’re meant to be the leader of our wonderful country and instead, you’re saying your too good to stand with firefighters on the front line. There are so many people who are volunteering to fight these fires and they are not asking you to jump on the front line Mr Morrison they are asking you to do your job and be a leader. Mr Morrison has also come under fire because he believes that volunteer firefighters should not be paid. "We will always rely around the country on our volunteer forces, whether it's on fires or surf lifesaving or anything else," he told 2GB. "But, you know, right now, the Commissioner has reminded me that they need to focus on the operational effort and not be too distracted by those issues at the moment." he continued to say. Mr Morrison only cares about money, let’s be real as PM he gets just over $520,000 per year tax-free, this does not include bonuses like travel allowances for him and his family who have use of private aircraft and any mode of transport he required (or believe he requires). Mr Morrison has on many occasions but big business before the Australian people and here he has been shown to do it again. The question is do you as Australians believe that Mr Morrison did the right thing by leaving Australia when history shows that our fire season comes between November and January each year? Is this the type of PM that you want a PM that does not care about Australians but instead about spending taxpayers money on lavish holidays in other countries - where the bloody hell are you…

It’s time we all sit back and have a look at how we drive. Everyone had at least once made a mistake when driving, some with bad consequences and others we can laugh about. For example, I reversed into a car at a set of traffic lights because I was in a hurry, not thinking and looking for the quickest way to get where I was going which ended up costing me more time because I was having to exchange details. This brings me to my first point on safety. Are we at a point with our own self-importance and cars being safer to drive have we lost the ability to think about other road users because if we can save time then our days can be more productive or we can socialise more with our friends? Can we ever get to the point where we don’t drink drive, use our phones and avoid distraction. People say yes we can by having driverless technology, Harsher penalties and/or education but none of these will truly fix the problems because we don’t have the infrastructure nor will everyone be able to afford a car that is fully autonomous. Harsher penalties will never work because there will always be people with total disregard for the law, alcoholics will always drive and the same with drug users will always get behind the wheel of a car. Lawmakers in any country will never be able to fully legislate stupidity or dickheads because these people will always exist so maybe we need to weed out the alcoholics and drug users before they first get a licence and may be mandatory testing for people who are known to have issues with these things every 2yrs. Education again works only for people who are willing to learn and not for dickheads or idiots. I was watching dashcam videos on youtube whilst researching for this opinion piece and couldn’t believe how many people got so angry at other drivers who made honest mistakes. I get that these are often expensive and a massive inconvenience but first and foremost concern should be making sure no-one is injured because damage to a car can be repaired so why do people automatically react with aggression about their car being damaged or their day being ruined instead of everyone's safety. I get people can suffer shock after an accident or can be injured but that doesn’t make any aggression right. It would be different if an accident was caused by someone driving like a moron which gives people a reason to be angry and rightly so. People make mistakes and 9/10 times people aren’t out to hurt other drivers, they have made a silly mistake which unfortunately has big consequences. I do not get why road rage has become such a thing and being polite by letting someone in front is so bad. I had a women, go absolutely bat shit crazy at me because I let someone merge in front of me which meant dropping my speed about 5-10kms to allow them in and this woman stuck her head out the window to yell and scream at me because I was holding up traffic supposedly. What makes anyone’s day more important than the other drivers because we all have somewhere to go otherwise we wouldn’t be driving. I think we all need to take a look at ourselves and put safety first when we drive but also be able to differentiate between mistake and stupidity so the road toll decreases, make road rage a thing of the past and remember that no matter what any distraction i.e. phones, your favourite song, putting on your lipstick or having a conversation with a person you may be travelling with is less important than someone getting hurt or even worse losing their life. We all have families to get home too and no-one wants anyone who drives to get a knock on the door from a police officer saying that their loved one has died in an accident. Everyone at some stage has been affected by a road accident in their lives and we all need to think about our actions when we drive because one day you or your family may have that knock on the door.

We live in a democratic society where we have freedom to express ourselves freely, honestly and in many different ways but have we come to a point where protesting has become out of control from the sides of the protestors and the police who are involved to keep public order. Let’s first look at it from the side of a protestor who believe strongly in their views about abortion, climate change, same-sex marriage, mining to name a few. Yes, these are very important issues and if you look at same-sex marriage bill that was past through parliament on the 09/12/2017 which paved the way for people like myself and my partner to be married. This shows that when protesting is done properly it can work and in this case worked very well. Then you look at protests in the recent past that have seen violent circumstances arise from people being very passionate about what they believe in becoming involved in situations that these normal everyday people would never usually get themselves involved i.e. being violent towards others because they want to get a point across or interrupting normal everyday life by holding up the majority of the community who do not see their views in the same manner. Although the protestors opinions do matter to everyone it does not mean they can block people from going about their business of socialising, earning a living and going about their normal daily lives. And to see protestors becoming violent or abusive to get their point across to me makes what they say irrelevant because I’m not focusing on what they are protesting about, I am focusing on the people getting hurt because that becomes more important than their message. I think it’s time for the protestors to take a step back before their message gets lost in all the hatred and dissatisfaction coming from the general community who want to go about their business without having to plan their days around whether they can go into a capital city or sporting events such as the Melbourne Cup because one day the general population will fight back and that could lead to things that we don’t ever want to face or hear about on any news channel in the country. Now we can look at how the police are handling things at events like the IMARC convention held in Melbourne this week. I’m all for the police being able to do their jobs in a fair and lawful way but I must say the vision you see on news programs over the last 3 days does not look good at all. Yes, they are dealing with a huge amount of protestors this year, more than any other I can remember. But that does not mean that they forgo upholding the law differently when dealing with these protestors compared to the fair and lawful way they would normally deal with the community when any other crime is committed. Violence from the people who are expected to protect the community doesn’t wash with me at all and police need to look at how they can protect you and me who don’t want to go out and express our views but also allow protestors to express their passionate beliefs in a safe and fair manner without being injured by the police who are supposed to stop harm coming to anyone be it protestors or not. Let me finish by saying both sides have now gone too far and views expressed by protestors and police who defend their actions on news channels have been lost behind bullshit that is people getting hurt on both sides and it is not good enough from all parties involved.

When you think of Dami Im your first thought might be a girl who can do no wrong, with the powerful vocals, songs that tell a story and a Twitter following of over 49,000 devoted #DamiArmy Fans. What many don’t realise is the struggles that this powerhouse has had to overcome. In an interview in 2017 with SBS Australia, Dami talked about how she got bullied for not being born in Australia. You see Dami Im was born in Seoul, South Korea and migrated with her parents to Australia when she was nine years old. In the interview with SBS Dami said “Other people go through really tough racism, For me, I’ve been pretty lucky most of the time. “I’ve only noticed discrimination after being on television and being known. On social media people have said some unfair comments, things like, ‘Go back to your country, China’. I’m not Chinese. “It affects me a little while when I read that, but then I realise there are tonnes of other people who aren’t like that and that’s how I got to be where I am today because there are so many other people who would support me rather than discriminate. “When I came here as the little Korean girl, I never expected myself to arrive where I am today and live out my dreams. It’s going so much better than I ever hoped for.” With that experience, Dami Im is back with her first Independent Single Crying Underwater it is about something many can relate to about feeling sad and isolated but each day putting on a mask for other people. “There is so much pressure in today’s society to always look happy, so we end up feeling like we’re not allowed to talk about how we really feel.. Dami Im - Crying Underwater

Is climate change real? A personal look. This article is based on my own opinions along with some facts. Let me start with the protests going on in Perth at the moment and perhaps the world that wants zero carbon dioxide emissions. How do these emissions affect the earth? Well according to brianly.com “The increase in carbon dioxide emissions affect the earth's natural cycle of temperature change by increasing the average temperature of the Earth. CO2, together with other greenhouse gases are important in maintaining the Earth's overall temperature. They absorb energy then re-emit this energy. However, too much of these gases would make the temperature of the Earth like Venus since more energy are being emitted. And without these gases, the Earth would have a very low temperature. Specifically, for carbon dioxide, it maintains the amount of water vapor present in the atmosphere. Consequently, the range of the greenhouse effect to the Earth.” If I go by this information then yes too much is not good for us how-ever not enough carbon dioxide is just as bad for this planet’s survival. We are the makers of our own survival and we allowed ourselves to get in this situation. However, there is always hope. Yes, I am sure that industry can lower emissions how-ever I do not put all the blame on them. How many of us like to sit at home without air-conditioners on in summer or heaters in winter. How many destroy our atmosphere by knocking down trees just so that you can have a home and backyard. Once upon a time if you brought land and wanted a house on it you were only to knock down the area where your house would be built but now they destroy every tree in the suburb that they want to establish. Trees help us to live they breath in our carbon dioxide and give us the vital oxygen we need to sustain life, but destroying trees they can not help us get rid of the carbons we emit. Yes, we need to lower them but at the same time, how many of these protestors would like to go back the way things were before the industrial revolution. Do they really think things would be different, there would still be more people living on this planet and there would still be fires lit to keep us warm and let us not even go into the sanitary conditions? So yes let industry take some of the blame but let’s not forget who wanted textile, coal, petrol ( oh yea let’s go back to walking no more cars, How many of these protestors own at leat car putting out their own carbon emissions). I am not a “greenie” I like my car but I also like my trees, my bush (which is becoming fewer and fewer due to more people and more cars which need roads to run on). We need to get things on an even keel and all of us realise that everything we do and every move we make leaves a carbon impression on this planet even in death when we decompose we still leave carbon footprints. So no we can’t have zero carbon emission EVER unless we all stop breathing then and only then would this planet we call home have a chance of surviving. So to all the protestors be careful very careful of what you wish for ZERO CARBON = DEATH.

Billie Eilish has just released the music video to the much waited fan fair for All Good Girls Go To Hell.

The music video which features Billie Eilish opens with an angel falling from the heaven above, then lands in what seems to be tar like substance which Billie slowly drags her body out of.

What makes this one of the most interesting music videos I have seen for a long time, is the special effects that had to be used towards the end of the video, where the angel wings seem to turn to bat like wings.

While this is only being really picky, you will notice either the quality of the special effects budget might of all been used up in the first half of the video as the bat like wings don't stay centered as she walks away from the camera. But that's just me being REALLY PICKY. The song itself is one of struggle and a song I feel we all can realate to in one way or another. Checkout the video below.

Dozens are feared dead after a fire swept through a dive boat overnight off the Southern Californian Coast.

Four bodies have been recovered with injuries consistent to drowning according to Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander Mather Kroll.

The vessel known as the Conception burst into flames around 3am Monday morning (local time) and searchers are still looking for more than two dozen people. It is believed there were 39 people on board of which 5 were crew members that dived into the water soon after the fire started at dawn.

“The crew was actually already awake and on the bridge and they off” said Rochester. Coast Guard Petty Officer Mark Barney has stated that two have suffered minor injuries. 34 other people were asleep below deck when the fire started and it is feared that they may not have been able to escape.

When the fire began a distress call was made to the Coast Guard, parts of the message were inaudible but a man was heard saying “ Mayday Mayday… I can’t breathe.”

“ Can you get back on board and unlock the boat?” a L.A Coast Guard dispatcher asked and followed with asking if there was an “ escape hatch for any of the people onboard”,

The crew members voice could not be understood when the dispatcher asks “ You don’t have any firefighting gear at all? No fire extinguishers or anything?”

The “Great Escape” a vessel that was nearby rescued crew members that jumped from the boat. When queried if the crew had tried to help the others on board Mr Rochester said “ I don’t have any additional information!”

The Conception was a 20 -metre commercial scuba diving vessel and was on the last day of a labor day week-end cruise to the channel Islands when she was engulfed anchored 18 metres of the Santa Cruz coast her bow is still visible above the waterline as she sank 64 feet.<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/radiomedia-images/news/fire37839.jpg" alt="Firefighter - Santa Cruz coast">

According to the “Truth Aquatics” website the vessel was equipped with rafts and life jackets for up to 110 passengers and exits on the port, starboard and bow that provide “easy water entry”.

Relatives are still waiting to hear news of their loved ones with one woman who was at the harbour saying “my son was on that boat”. While at the same time Mr James Kohl (pictured below) was waiting at the gate waiting on news of his 58 year old brother who was a cook on the Conception.

Complaint by a cyclists saying that she was “attacked” by a magpie while riding her bike in Bella Vista Sydney resulted in the Hills District Council telling her the magpie had been “removed“

Inferno Engulfs Conception

A complaint by a cyclists saying that she was “attacked” by a magpie while riding her bike in Bella Vista Sydney resulted in the Hills District Council telling her the magpie had been “removed“.

 I have just received an email advising that the magpie had now been removed, so hopefully that area will now be safe” the cyclist wrote on a private face book group. We don’t know if she knew that by “removing”, the magpie  that it had actually been killed by t he Council.

The post caused fury from Animal lovers on other community pages. “I am so angry right now that I won’t even comment,” wrote one person on face book.

It is Springtime and magpies are nesting, this is when magpies usually swoop because they are protecting their nests and young, surely it is not to hard to avoid an area where you know maggies are nesting during this period.

Maybe if people reported nesting magpies to their local Councils the Councils could place warning signs or even better maybe the person who sees it could make up their own warning sign to warn other people.

Council Kills Australian Icon

It was third time lucky for a trainee pilot who landed a plane at Jandakot airport on Saturday. The trainee pilot had only had three lessons when his instructor fell unconscious.

Mr Sylvester told air traffic control “ I’m trying to keep him up but he keeps falling down”, when asked by air traffic control if he knew how to operate the plan Mr Sylvester replied “ This is my third lesson”.

The operator then told him “We’re tracking where you are at the moment”. He went on to say "You're doing a really great job. I know this is really stressful. But you're going to do an amazing job and we're going to help you get down to the ground, OK?"

The controller then talked the trainee pilot down which took over 50 minutes. The owner of the flying school Chuck Mc Elwee said "This could have gone way, way bad," he said.

"But everything worked out right, and it worked right, mostly because of the cooperation of the tower, the fact that he was a student — that he was dedicated and he knew what he was doing and he pulled it off — and that my flight instructor went up to the tower and they all worked together."

Mr McElwee praised Mr Sylvester’s wife by saying “ She was a rock, let me tell you, she held it together all the way along the line”.

Mr Sylvester has received his first flying solo certificate even though this was more than likely not the way he expected to earn it.

Third Time Lucky - pilot lands

Ross Lyon has been sacked as coach for the Fremantle Dockers.

President Dale Alcock said in a statement “Fremantle has not made the finals for the past four years. This isn’t acceptable to the board, the players, and most importantly to our supporters.” He went on to say “We need high performance and consistency at all levels of the club, so we need to change and evolve”.

David Hale assistant coach will coach the final game of the season.

Alcock went on to say “ Its’ clear for a number of reasons that as a club we haven’t achieved as we should. The board has a duty to act in the best interest of it’s supporters and members. As a result, the club requires a new coach and CEO,…. The search for a new coach and CEO starts today.”

Anchors Away For Ross Lyon

Sydney police received a call at about 2PM today of a man wearing a balaclava and wielding a large butcher’s knife in the vicinity of King St.

He shouted “Allahu Akbar” and challenged police to “fucking shoot me in the head”.

He has since been identified as a 21-year-old man from Marayong.

The man stabbed a 41-year-old woman in the back in what appears to be a random attack.

Three members of the public engaged and restrained the “clearly dangerous” man, using a chair and a milk crate, near Wynyard railway station.

Emergency services and police responded and the man was soon arrested.

Then police discovered the body of a 21-year-old woman in an apartment on Clarence St.

The man was found to have terrorist information on a USB drive about mass casualty crimes overseas, including in North America and New Zealand.

However he has no known links to terrorist organisations.

Police said the man had a long history of mental health issues, and they were investigating reports he absconded from a mental health facility in recent days.

Sydney Under Attack

Mr Paul Bennet had been spent 10 days at Royal Perth Hospital when he asked his friend Mr Aaron Premier to bring him his “ stuff “ and his friend took him literally and brought him his suitcases which contained a home-made bomb, a gun and ammunition.

The hospital had to close three wards while the bomb squad dealt with it, needless to say Mr Paul Bennet was charged.

A five year old Berlin boy got so cross with his father for running two red lights that he called the emergency number to report him. When the operator answered the call the boy told her “ Papadrove twice through the light when it was red- You must lock him up” . According to a police face book post the officer “ persuaded him to drop his demand that we send a car around”, the operator explained to the boy that the number was to be used for emergiencies only and “enlightened Papa about the road traffic regulations.

Papa You Did Wrong

A young boy just 6 yrs old from France visiting the Tate Modern in London is currently in a stable but critical condition in hospital suffering from a “ deep bleed to his brain and fractures to his spine, arms and legs after being thrown from a 10th floor balcony at the Tate Modern.

The young boy was thrown 30 meters by a 17 year old who didn’t even know the victim, the 17 year old has been charged with Attempted murder by the London Police.

A 61 yr old mother is the first to Use the new Assisted Dying Act in Victoria.

Ms Kerry Robertson was diagnosed with Breast cancer back in 2010, the cancer gradually spread into her lungs, bone and brain. In March this year Ms Robertson decided to cease treatment for the cancer after it had invaded her liver and the side effects of the treatment could not be managed. After completing the Assisted dying process which took almost a month Ms Robertson was given her medication by the Statewide Pharmacy which end her life she took the medication the day she received it. Ms Robertson had been struggling with severe pain for a long time.

According to her daughters who were present at the time the whole procedure was quick. They said that her death was “ Beautiful and Peaceful”.

To be eligible for the act you must meet Victoria’s strict Criteria such as : be over 18, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident; and reside in Victoria for at least 12 months.

The person must have decision-making capacity in relation to Voluntary assisted dying  and the person must be diagnosed with a disease, illness or medical condition that is incurable; and is advanced, progressive and will cause death; and is expected to cause death within weeks or months, not exceeding 6 months and is causing suffering to the person that cannot be relieved in a manner that the person considers tolerable.

These are just some of the Act there a lot more that has to be done before a patient is given this medication. You can find out more by reading the Voluntary assisted Dying Act 2017 No. 61 of 2017

In less than 24 hours America was once again sent reeling in shock to hear of more mass shootings.

Between two separate incidents 29 people were left dead and further 56 lay injured. The two shooters were both in their early twenties and both were carrying assault style weapons.

On Saturday a 21 yr old opened fire in a Walmart store in El Paso 6 Mexican Nationals were killed. Mexico’s Foreign Minister said that “it’s urgent that we take corresponding action against weapons”.

On Sunday a 21 yr old opened fire near or at Ned Pepper’s bar killing his 22 yr old sister and eight others, he will never get to face a trail as he was fatally shot by police.

On Monday President Donald Trump tweeted “ the flags at the white house will be lowered today through Thursday August 8th ….”

 “Today, I authorized the lowering of the flags to half mast at all Federal Government buildings in honor of the victims of the tragedies in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

However what can America do about these mass shootings when they federal laws such as the Brady’s Act which tells when you are not allowed to carry a gun but the States have laws that are called open carry laws . Generally the states fall open one of four categories which are , Permissive Open Carry States- allows you to carry a gun without a permit or license, Licensed Open carry states- Allow gun owners to carry firearms openly only after they are issued a permit or license, Anomalous Open Carry States- carrying a gun may be generally lawful under state law, but local governments may pass their own gun laws that may be more restrictive than the state’s laws and Non- Permissive Open Carry States- carrying a gun openly is against the law, or is legal only in Limmited circumstances (e.g. While hunting ) or when legally used for self-defense.

When you have a Permissive open carry State that allows any-one of any mental capacity to own a gun surely you are asking for trouble.

In less than 24 hours America was once again sent reeling in shock to hear of more mass shootings. Between two separate incidents 29 people were left dead and further 56 lay injured. The two shooters were both in their early twenties and both were carrying assault style weapons.

Channel Ten’s biggest news and current affairs show The Project seems not to be running so smoothly when the camera’s are off.

Last week Peter Helliar took a dig at Lisa Wilkinson during the show s 10’th anniversary. Lisa was escorted out of the set by crew members.

It’s been said that ‘resentment’ and ‘nasty barbs’ regarding Lisa Wilkinson is fueling the flames and continue to cause issues for the producers and the network.

“There’s been a level of resentment for months about her [Lisa’s] role, because she really isn’t a team player, and I think that sentiment boiled over on the night,” an alleged Channel Ten source told Woman’s Day.

“Lisa is highly sensitive regarding her public profile and, while she tried to keep relationships civil off camera, she is furious that her co-hosts are allowing nasty barbs to continue on air,” they said.
